vo.id vs Meta Muse
Muse is built to do things for you: book the table, fill in the form, place the order. The void is built for the step before that. It gets a thought out of your head quickly, so you can put your phone down and decide later, yourself, what to do with it.
Meta launched Muse in September 2026 as a personal AI agent. It connects to your apps, email and calendar, works across your Mac, and carries out multi-step tasks on your behalf. It's free up to weekly limits, and Meta has said it expects to make money by taking a small fee from transactions.
you stay in charge
Nothing in the void acts in the world without you. A memo goes to TickTick or your calendar when you send it there, or when you've turned on automatic sending for that kind of action yourself. No agent browses, buys or sends messages in your name.
a business model you can read
Meta earns most of its revenue from advertising, and it expects Muse to earn from the purchases it makes for you. The void makes money one way: an optional premium subscription. There are no ads and no transaction fees, and nothing behind the app wants you to buy anything.
privacy
Your memos are encrypted at rest and are never used to train a model, sold or shared. The site sets two cookies, one to keep you logged in and one to stop cross-site request forgery, and has no trackers or analytics. The privacy page lists exactly what goes to the AI, and when.
chat with your notes
Ask a question across everything you've captured and get an answer that links to the memos it came from. It reads your memos and never acts on them.
made to keep you off your phone
Capture by voice, by typing, or by texting from any phone, then close it. Your memos come back to you in a summary email on a schedule you choose, not as a stream of notifications.
when Meta Muse is the better pick
If you want an assistant that goes off and runs errands for you, pick Muse. The void wasn't built for that. You can use both: the void is where an idea lands, and what happens to it next is up to you.
