On-the-go task capture

An important task pops into your head when you're in the middle of something else. Say it or text it, and it's sorted and waiting for you later.

• Voice or text capture from anywhere, no app switching

how to do it

The task arrives while you're driving, walking the dog or halfway through something else, which is exactly when opening a to-do app is hardest. The fix is to make capture take seconds and leave the sorting for later.

1. Say it or text it as it comes to you, with the deadline if there is one, e.g. "renew the passport by the end of March".
2. The void transcribes it and recognizes it as a task.
3. Give it a task box from the Take Action menu, or send it to TickTick or Google Calendar with the date read from what you said. On premium this can happen automatically.
4. Tasks with a due date get a reminder the day they're due; undated ones ride along in your summary email until you check them off.
